SageTV Recorder as a Network Encoder

Just wondering: is SageTV Recorder still compatible w/ SageTV 6.0 (when using it as a network encoder)? I understand that a second instance of SageTV is now the preferred means of setting up a network encoder, but a second full installation would be overkill for me.

I think so, but it doesn't support any of the newer capture cards.

Yay! Thanks stanger! My hardware was supported back in the 2.0-ish versions of Sage, so I'm sure I won't have any problems.

I just wanted to make sure that version 6 doesn't lock out the network encoding functionality of Sage Recorder.

I don't think it does, you might want to try it before you order a copy though.
