Installing drivers causes reboot.

Hello, folks. New here, and starting out with a BIG problem. I just purchased a WinTV-PVR-500 (through Sage), and I'm trying to install it in a Dell Optiplex GX110 running Win2K (SP4). Hardware is PIII, 256 meg RAM, onboard video, Dell-provided soundcard in a PCI slot, and a USB PCI card. I have a Pioneer DVD burner and an extra Maxtor 300 gig drive (in addition to the 20 gig maxtor that came with the Dell). That's it.

When I boot up, Win2K finds the card, but when it attempts to install the driver, the computer reboots. Repeated attempts, same result.

If I attempt to cancel the "New Hardware" wizard, Windows just finds the hardware again, and around and around we go. The driver CD I am using is version 3.1E, which is the latest on the Hauppauge website.

In the Hauppage FAQ section (on their site) they have instructions for installing under Win2K, but their instructions are completely wrong - they reference a folder that does not exist!

Any ideas? If the worst case happens to be true (this mobo just ain't gonna work with the Hauppauge), any suggestions for a replacement? I need to keep it cheap, and off-lease Dells are easy to come by, as are IBMs and HPs. Any advice on brand?
