Nvidia Decoder stopped working after upgrading the codec
I installed the latest version of the Nvidia PureVideo Codec on top of my existing version and then restarted. After I did that I get this error whenever I try to watch video:
sage.playbackexception: ERROR (-4,0x80040217): There was a problem rendering the video portion of the content for playback. I searched the forums but did not find any useful information about this. I am using the latest version of Sage, and my video card (7600GS) drivers are up to date. If I choose any other codec including other than Nvidia PureVideo the video plays back correctly. I can also choose the Nvidia PureVideo Post Processor and it works fine. I also tried setting the default codec to PureVideo in windows, and then enabling the "Default" codec in Sage and it appears to render correctly, but I did not see the nvidia icon in the tray so I do not believe it was using the correct codec. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong, or what files I should check for additional errors or hints? Thanks. -Nebruin |

I get the same error when running Overlay with FSE enabled. If that's how you're setup, disable FSE and you won't get that error.
