Patience is said to be a virtue.

I can handle that... until we put an LCD in the main room. Then we'll be chomping at the bits for an HD "MVP". And an HDHomerun or 2. Sheesh I'm going to have the cable here split so many ways the signal is gonna get lost before it finds a tuner. Time to run another drop from the attic for OTA.

I can't get HBO in HD without a cable box, and since the sopranos is starting up sunday, I've gotta keep the HD DVR around for 6 more weeks at least.

I'd love to ditch the cable dvr at the same time I ditch HBO though.

How in the world are there over 200 posts in this thread when nobody even has this device to use!?!

Not that I helped much by adding another post...

Help!! Money Burning Hole in Pocket

Somebody help!! The money I've set aside for these things has burnt a hole in my pocket... working on sowing the hole shut, but I'm not sure how long it will hold. It has been awhile since we've had an "official" update on the progress of the HD Media Extender.

Is there anyway that someone could give a status report,.... even if it is just to say that this project is still alive and moving forward?

If I were in real need of a client machine, and had money burning a hole in my pocket, I would just go buy/build a full windows client for HD.

Seeing as there have been no formal announcements, timelines or press releases, it seems to be prudent if you're in real need of a device right now.

I was sooo hoping the official release of 6.1 would mean they would sneak out the HD client. Bummer. I too have money burning a hole in my pocket.

For those with "hot money"

For all of those with money burning holes in your pockets: Please send me the money and I will gladly replace it with "cool money". This cool money is guaranteed not to burn holes in pockets.

I only hope that I can buy a dozen when the extender comes out and make a decent profit on ebay.

They would call it v7 if the HD Extender debuts.

We'll have plenty of bitch-and-moan upgrade fee threads if that happens, so don't start just yet.

Not necessarily. It was 4.1 that released the MediaMVP as an official media extender.

decisions decisions... I'm almost ready to drop the hammer on a Samsung LN-T4065f. (any opinions on it?) I hear SD on an HD LCD isn't all that great but all I've got is an MVP. C'mon Sage. Let's get the HD MVP on the market. I'm not that fond of wedging a mid-tower on the shelf behind the TV. but yes, I want it right before it's released.
