Play DivX, Lose Sage...

Whenever I'd play a DivX encoded file, Sage (VMR9/FSE) would minimize to the Taskbar. I noticed the DivX icon in the System Tray. Since I had the full pkg installed (Player, Converter, etc...) and I know MPlayer will play them anyway...I uninstalled everything DivX...no more minimizing. Still a bug, but here's a workaround.

Yup...I had this problem too.

Actually it only started happening after I upgraded DIVX to the latest version (6.4). It had previously been running on an older version with Sage v6 without this minimising problem.

I also had a problem with AVI files playing back with lots of pauses if I didn't use mplayer. I don't know whether this was a DIVX 6.4 problem though. If it wasn't for that, I'd switch back to DIVX as for me it produces a better image than mplayer.

Yeah I had this problem too, there was a suggestion from somebody (I'm sorry I cant remember who). But if you unassociate the divx file extension so that nothing is opening it up by default, sage will play them fine.
