SageTV conflicts with HDCP?

I'm having trouble with SageTV and HDCP. Here are the symptoms, which only appear if Sage is running, either in the foreground or in sleep mode:

1. Cyberlink HD Advisor advises me that an HDCP link is not present.
2. Cyberlink PowerDVD HD edition closes a few seconds after starting to play an HD-DVD
3. Netflix video player, which relies heavily on content protection, crashes if I enter full-screen, but plays just fine in its default, tiny, window.

All of these activities work great if SageTV is not running at all. Question is, is this a systematic problem with SageTV, or is this a configuration problem specific to me? If this is a systematic problem, then I think that Frey Technologies has a serious problem on their hands.

My configuration:
SageTV Media Center 6.0.19.120
- FSE enabled
- VMR enabled
- 3D acceleration enabled
Java JRE 1.4.2_13
IE7 (all updates installed)
WMP11 (all updates installed)
nVidia 7600GT, with driver 93.91 [Edit: 93.71]
HDMI connection between video card and TV
Windows XP Pro SP2, all updates installed
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.3 GHz [Edit: 2.4GHz]
2GB RAM
2 ATI TV Wonder 650 (OTA HD channels only)
2x500GB SATA HDD

Apparently not. With FSE disactivated, the problems go away. That's too bad, because without FSE, I get intolerable tearing. And "disable_fse_on_focus_lost" doesn't seem to do a thing. So apparently, I'm stuck with having to accept tearing and crappy video, or having to exit Sage to use other video software. Oh, and since the SageTV service causes my system to skip and stutter, I won't be able to record while watching HD-DVD's or Netflix.
