Vbox-150 not working

I just got the Vbox-150 and I can't get the darn thing to work.

I eliminated the antenna. I hooked that up to the TV directly and get some fancy HD channels.

Their installation directions are kind of weak. I updated the drivers to the latest that they have on their website.

When trying their signal strength utility, I get a signal strength that jumps around from -1900 to -3000. I have it set for channel 10 (NBC). I have even tried 10-1 but, I believe that may be dealt with their other two text boxes that are set to -1.

Anybody else have simular issues?

If you haven't already done so:

1.Use the drivers from their website, not from the disc.

2. If that doesn't help, you might try to reseat the card or try another PCI slot.

The Vbox signal meter is a bit clunky, I just used Sage to scan for channels.

Thanks,

I had updated the drivers to their latest version which is a beta. I'll have to try switching PCI ports.

Another thing is, did you setup EPG for over the air? The EPG doesn't have my state RI, in their list for OTA.

Nothing ever seems to work the first time.

When I first installed mine it showed up properly in the device manager but just didn't work, reseated it and it works great.

For EPG I set it to Digital OTA or something like that and selected my city.

I reseated it, re-installed it in device manager, and still nothing.

Maybe, I need to re-install SageTv. I read something on Vbox website to re-install the software. Seem's strange, but I'll give it a shot.

un-install and re-install sage seemed to do the trick, but now I have a bunch of different problems that I'll post in the software section.

I'd recommend NOT using the latest drivers.

Stay with 2.1.705.7

I saw bad things after changing to 705.12

Playback worked at it always did.

When it went to record, Sage reported an error code,
but then I never uninstalled sage after changing drivers.
