Sage Service Question
I'm trying to figure out a way to 'divide up' the use of my XP box with several profiles.
For example: I'd like a 'gaming' one, 'video editing - tv watching' one as well as a 'general' one. I currently run Sage as a service. If I create different profiles, will the service for sage run regardless of which one I'm logged into? I couldn't have it not record something because I was logged in under the gaming profile, for example. Is there anything special I need to configure to have it always run? Thanks. |

That's what it means to run as a service. Services start as soon as the OS boots up, before the login screen appears. That's why you have to specify the username and password you want the service to run under -- so it can access system resources regardless of who's logged in from the keyboard.

Thanks Greg!
Services also start up before you log in, correct? So, even if the box was waiting at the login screen, Sage would be running and recording. Is that also correct? Thanks. |
