Pop-ups - preventing
Hey guys
I have Sagetv 6.0.19, it is set for full screen excusive mode. So why on earth can Trendmicro and those stupid windows ballon notifications seem able to pop-up over the playback and cause a focus shift (meaning now the remote cannot control Sage). This is killing the WAF! James |

FSE doesn't mean an app can't lose focus. It just means that when it has focus, it owns the graphics hardware and can render more efficiently. When it loses focus, it must give up FSE so that other apps can render. Focus is still controlled by Windows, not by the app.
There's a TweakUI utility for Windows that (among other things) lets you control how and when focus can be stolen: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Ditch the home version antivirus/firewall/security center crap. Run a corporate version that doesn't constantly bombard you with pop-ups.
