Date and Time off by 5 hours?

I'm running the latest version 6 of SageTV and after installing I notice that the date and time are off by 5 hours which of course screws up the program guide.

Is there anyway to reset the SageTV date and time?

Thanks in advance,
Leah Hallett

Since you said in a different thread that you are using Vista, upgrade to the latest version of java.

I had the same problem when I first installed Sagetv 6. You need to check the right time zone. Double click on the time in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Select the "time zone" tab. Make sure you're set for the right time zone you're in. Watch, your time will adjust 5 hours.

Sagetv adjusted my time zone when I installed it - watchout.

I had this very issue - being five hours off all of a sudden - when I did some other software install on my server - could it be that there was a temporary issue with the time service? The time zone setting were correct and the time server wouldn't let me synchronize. I had to adjust the time manually..

I'll 2nd this, if they're running Vista, Java is the most likely culprit... Upgrade to the latest 6.0 release, and you'll be fine.

I had the same issue on an XP machine. This happend when I installed the new RC 6.1.3. I went into the system time settings, which were all correct, and just reselected everything and then applied. On a system restart it fixed everything.

I had this issue and upgraded to 1.6 aswell, but if your like me using an external EPG importer, you can't use version 1.6 and the old version of xerces.jar. So if your like me, just upgrade to that dirty nasty java version 1.5.11 for now, till another version fixes everything.
