Getting a Satellite Stream in Java

Hi,

I'd like to explore the possibility of getting hold of an EPG via my satellite card. It's a Technotrend S2-3200; it has BDA drivers. I'm an experienced Java developer on the J2EE side, but no experience of interfacing with hardware via drivers.

As a start I'd like to get hold of the data stream from a particular channel.

Anyone got any tips on how to go about doing this?
