Cool WinTV-HVR-1600 - Adjustable Recording Quality?

I'm thinking of getting the WinTV-HVR-1600 card to start recording over-the-air digital TV. Right now I have a PVR-500 dual tuner card but it'd be nice to kiss the cable company goodbye.

My question is: Will I be able to choose the recording quality for ATSC recordings? My current computer (Pentium III, 1 gHz machine) isn't ready for HDTV and I'd like to record at a lower quality.

I've been unable to find this info here or at the Hauppauge site. perhaps someone who has one of these cards can answer this? Or, if you have a different brand card, I'd appreciate knowing about that too. Thanks

Normally ATSC recording quality is not adjustable. The broadcast data stream is just captured straight to disk.
