OMG. Stop Recording. Not kidding. Stop NOW!
Intelligent recording is turned off.
Repeat: Intelligent recording is turned off. I set a show to record. It records. And then sage continuously records _every single show_ after that on that same channel. FOREVER. It never stops. In fact, to add insult to injury, when it comes time to record the next scheduled show, it asks me if it is OK to change the channel - I am actually missing recording shows because it refuses to stop recording the channel it is "stuck" on. HOW do I make it stop doing this ? I do not want to watch TV with sage. I do not want to watch TV on my computer. The only thing I intend to use sage for is recording TV with a program guide. That's it. Is it possible to disable "watching tv" completely, so I never have to deal with this ? If not, how do I at least tell sage to stop "watching" TV, and not to keep "watching" it when it is done recording a show ?? |

This can happen if you were watching the show as it was being recorded, and did not "stop" the playback by hitting ctrl-g or the stop button on your remote.

Craptastic.
Ok, let's say I don't want to ever accidently do this again - is there a way to just skirt the issue entirely and turn off all tv watching ? Can it be disabled ? I would seriously just use sage recorder, but I want the program guide ... if all I want to do is browse the program guide and record shows, can the operation be stripped down ? Thanks for your help. |

If you don't explicitly deny the channel change, Sage will tune into the scheduled channel itself before the show starts. So there is no harm done, even if you 'accidently' forget to hit Stop after watching Dirk |

Did you by any chance configure Sage to always display video in menus? If so, then you're watching TV (and recording it) whenever the Sage UI is open. Change that setting to Never and it won't happen.
