Media MVP and Vista... Has anyone got this working 100%?
Hi all ...just want some advice, has anyone got MVP and Vista running 100% without any lock ups or resets. Have tried everything from advice on various forums and what do you know lack of any info from hauppauge support on the matter. The best I have had this working was after following advice to turn off tcp scaling... this means I can watch more video before a reset! Any news would be much appreciated.

No, not 100%.
For some bizarre reason, I can only get my MVP to connect to SageTV in Vista when the SageTV application is running (in addition to the SageTV Service). In Windows XP, only the SageTV service needs to be running for me to be able to connect. When running, though, it seems just as solid and stable as it is in XP. I can't test live TV in Vista though, because Hauppauge have yet to release Vista drivers for the Nova-T USB2 which work with dual-core processors. Their current advice is to disable one core of the CPU! Unbelievable. Steve. |
