Feature request: Manual set which tuner to use for recordings
I came across a problem last night that I don't believe Sage currently has a work around for.
I have an HDHR(qam and OTA) + Fusion 5 lite + PVR 150. On certain instances I'll be recording 2+ HD shows at the same time with sage, and watching one of those shows live with the tuner in my TV or cablebox(specifically here, I am recording 24 and Heroes in HD). Yesterday I was watching Heroes live through my cablebox, and Sage had set Heroes to record using the HDHR tuner that is QAM and 24 to record using the fusion- OTA. I understand this decision is based on tuner priority and series priority, however in this case, last night was an extraordinarily windy evening such that my OTA reception wasn't great. I would have liked to be able to click on an upcoming recording and select a tuner to use for that specific show(as a single instance, or even permanently) and have Sage make necessary adjustments to other upcoming recordings unless there is a conflict. This way I could have set Sage to record the show I was not watching live(24) using QAM which is less susceptible to the weather and had the other show I'm watching record OTA. This way I don't miss a show. Is this possible? -Bryan |

I second the notion.
In particular, I would like to be able to designate a specific tuner to be used only for LiveTV viewing. I'd also like the ability to set a default Recordings directory for each tuner.

I just got my first OTA HVR-1600. Now I know what you are all talking about. I would also like to specify a tuner for a given favourite to record.

Here Here - For SDTV to it would be nice.
One other feature I miss from the Tivo is the ability to switch between tuners by simply pressing the up or down arrow. I guess the Tivo was always buffering on both tuners and you could easily switch between them. This is actually the only feature that I miss. |
