Sage not friendly with LogMeIn?
I use logmein.com to access my computers remotely. I've noticed that if I log into the computer that has sage running, sage exits.
Has anybody seen this also? Are there any known workarounds? Thanks! rwc |

I use logmein in the same way sometimes on my HTPC. Sage doesn't exit when I log in, but it does screw up the video output. In order to fix it I have to reset the desktop resolution on the HTPC.

That's what was happening to me too. Then I updated my windows & sage to the release canidate.
What version of sage do you have? Could it be a sage thing? Windows? Logmein? thanks! rwc |

This is a response from Logmein support:
The video playback is only supported if the clip goes through the Windows display driver. If the playback is using the so-called video overlay technique, where the image/video is produced and displayed directly by your video card, then it cannot be captured. This happens often for example with 3D games as well. However, some video files, like certain WMV playbacks, should show up in Remote Control as well. If possible, please try to change the format of your video playback to use Windows display, if you wish to view the contents over LogMeIn. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you, Wendy Merrifield LogMeIn Customer Support Have you checked our Knowledge Base? Most questions can be answered quickly by going to www.LogMeIn.com. Just click the Support link, select the appropriate product, and type your question in the Search box! ------ Your Question/Comment ------ I use a program called SageTV and it uses a 3D Renderer. Through my computer directly, I'm able to use the program without a problem, but if I use logmein, then the screen is all black and I can't see what I'm clicking on. If I turn the 3D Renderer option off, then logmein is able to see the program. Is there a reason as to why I can't see the program because it uses 3D rendering? Thank you |

I also had problems with Logmein / Sage, until I deselected "Use mirror display driver" in the Preferences section.
Now, it works fine. HTH
