Media Center is booting up .....Please wait

Hi All

Please help, I am using Linux Gentoo Distro kernel 2.6 with Sagetv server the standard install as described on Sage Linux web site. In this Pc I do not have an Nvidia graphics only an onboard graphics card and the Hauppauge PVR150 card. After initial boot, no errors or problems.
Conncted to this server via wired Lan is a MVP. All I get on boot up of the MVP is "The Sage tv Media Center is booting up...please wait" and thats it. the screen flashes a few times but the MVP hangs on that screen.

how and what do i need to check on my linux Sagetv server in order to establish what the problem could be ? Any Ideas ?
Could it be the license issue ? is it a configuration setting ? any help is appreciated...i am stuck

You can look at the logs in /opt/sagetv/server/sagetv_0.txt

Hi _Demo_

Thank you for reply, I have looked and it seems to be a Java issue as well as possibly a setup issue.
I have not done or completed any setup stages and have installed linux server Console with Gentoo. No GUI and thus no Nvidia card.
Is it possible to do the configuration of TV cards, tuning, etc VIA the MVP ?

If anyone can assist and look at the logs and direct me in the right direction ? I also get a corrupt Wiz.bin file ? why is this ?

Any help appreciated

Are you sure you activated your copy correctly?

I ran the Command ./keygen.sh under /opt/sagetv/server and it asked for my key, which I inserted and then got the following message:

Your License key will be activated. Press enter to continue
License key file: activkey
Public/private Key generation directory:
Laoded SageTVs Global public RSA key.
Established network connection to the sageTV license activation server....
Connected......data was sent.......reading back activation key.....
Error with license activation: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 400 for URL: http:/download.sage.tv:8000/linuxactivation
STVMC_590 #

So I think you are right, I think i got to now contact sageTV and find out what is wrong with activation??
