I forgot to remove the period in "St." in 517 so that explains why schools with "State" in their name didn't work with 517. The Miami (Ohio)/Miami (Florida) should now also be fixed. Snapshot 518 contains both fixes.

SRE v2.1.4 is now available for download. The release announcement can be found here. All future release announcements will be made in that thread. This thread will remain active for support of the plugin.

Slugger,

I finally got around to installing this a couple weeks ago out of curiosity. The installation was super easy - but then again I'm a bit biased about Jetty - and no config necessary.

Last night was its first test. I missed the Steelers-Titans game and forgot to override the favorite's padding. Thanks to SRE it picked up the OT period perfectly. Nice work!

Slugger,

I'm getting ready for the NFL season and installed SRE for the first time today. I already have Jetty (1.5) installed (port 8080, using it for BMT) so I just unzipped the package (518) to the Sage install directory as stated in the instructions. When I go to http://COMPUTER:8080/sre/SRE it prompts me for a user ID and password. Have I dome something wrong? What is the correct userID and password?

I have neilm's webserver running (on another port) so I tried using that password but it didn't work. I searched this thread and nobody else seems to be having this issue.

Thanks,

Tom

Where is it picking up the UserID and password from? I have a different UserID and password set for neilms web interface and BMT, which also uses Jetty, does not ask for a password at all.

It's the id/pwd configured for Jetty when you installed it. The combo listed above is the default settings, I believe.

Can you trying another browser besides IE8? My initial guess is that my older apps (SRE, SJQ) may not support IE8 very well since the version of GWT I'm using is older and predates IE8. If that's actually the case and is confirmed then I'll see how much effort will be required to upgrade the GWT version in the apps.

I can try another browser. Just so you know both SJQ and SageAlert work perfectly for me with IE8. Only SRE did not work.

I did not change any of the Jetty settings. I looked in the setup files for some type of default UserID and password but did not fine one. Where are they specified?

What's strange is that when I go to the BMT pages (//COMPUTER:8080/bmt) it does not ask me for a password. Is there something specific in the HTML code that causes SRE to ask for a password but BMT to not?

SageAlert should be fine, it's built using GWT 1.7.0. SRE and SJQ are built using GWT 1.5.3. SJQ might work in IE8 and not SRE b/c I might be doing something in one and not the other that isn't compatible with IE8.

SageTV/jetty/etc/realm.properties

Yes, each app author has to decide if they want to use authentication to access their app and if so they must explicitly enable it in their app's configuration within Jetty.

I ended up trying the compatibility mode with IE8 and it came right up.

It lists all programs not just sporting events. Is this normal? I tried to remove the non sporting events from the queue, but they seem to stay there. Now that I am running in compatability mode I am unsure if this is normal behavior.

I will start reading through this thread for an answer.

Yes, the plugin will list your entire recording schedule, that is normal. Why? Because you can override the details of any scheduled recording to force SRE to monitor it (i.e. if you create a manual timed recording for a game then you can go to SRE and tell it who's actually playing and SRE will use that info to monitor the game).
