So SRE detects when you are recording something and then extends the recording.
However what about, when a game is still on, but you weren't already recording it? I know currently SRE doesn't really work on LiveTV, but its annoying the when a game is still on, I tune to "Sportscenter" and Sage thinks its still recording "Sportscenter" even though that is not the case. . . anything we can do here?

SRE v2.x and older end of life: Jul 1, 2010
SRE v2.x and older will no longer function properly effective July 1, 2010. The web service currently being used to back these older versions of SRE will be taken offline anytime starting July 1. Once the web service is shutdown, most recent builds of SRE that rely on it will cease to function properly.
You will definitely want to uninstall SRE v2.x or older by July 1, 2010. Failure to do so will result in undetermined behaviour! Most likely SRE will apply default padding to all recordings it attempts to monitor. I encourage SageTV v7 users to upgrade to SRE 3.0.0 (beta), available for installation via the SageTV v7 Plugin Manager. Please note that SREv3 requires a Google Account for authentication to the new web service being used to fetch event data. Without a Google Account, SREv3 will not be able to monitor any events. A new thread for SREv3 will be added to the Sage v7 Customizations forum within the next day or two.

I'm having no luck installing version 3.0 on Sage7. I keep getting the message "failed" when I try to install. Have you started a new thread yet? I don't see it.

I'm wanting to do an "On demand" recording, and specify the number of minutes to record. Will SRE help me do this? Or is there another option?
I've been trying to record my VHS tapes. As suggested in other forums, I've tried using WinTV, VirtualDub and VirtualVHS, but with no success. I'm left with recording through SageTV, playing the VHS tape through the S-Video input. Though Timed Recording looks like the way to go at the moment, it's klunky. If only I could bring up the options menu while the VHS is playing and specifying the number of minutes to record (starting now), and optionally give it a name, that would be ideal. |

Gmail password
I can't seem to get the password to enter. I have created 2 gmail accounts and can log into both. But when I try to put the password in the sage SRE plug in it says invalid password. What am I doing wrong?

Please provide your sre.log file (zip it up would be good if it's relatively large).
