SageMC and DVD Profiler
Okay, with the recent drop in hard drive prices and the recent increase in the number of dirty little fingerprints on DVD's, I've seen the value of ripping a bunch of DVD's to the server. I'm also a loyal user of SageMC and would like to display cover art, etc in the interface.
My question: Where do I install DVD Profiler in order to take advantage of its functionality in this regard? My server is headless and shares directories for TV recordings and DVD's (along with music and photos). I have DVD Profiler installed on my main work PC which has Sage Client installed on it, though I don't watch it much on that. The main viewing is done through a different Client PC. Must I install DVD Profiler on the server? Sorry, I searched without success. |

I run DVD Profiler on a Sage TV client. I export the DVD Profiler info to one of the Sage client directories. (You can put it anywhere-it's just more convenient) And then I use that Sage client to import that into Sage. It places that info into the wiz.bin so the info is available from any client or the server itself.

Thanks for the reply, Gerry. I I pointed SageMC to the collection.xml file and told SageMC where to find the DVD Profiler installation on the client. But it doesn't seem to be working. Genre information isn't functional, and the only cover art that's displayed is that of files I created myself (folder.jpg). Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
