Help please...upgraded Video card..dvd's no longer play
I upgraded my video card from 6200TC to 6600GT OC. When I try to watch a DVD using Sage, the CPU goes straight to 100% and just churns..No video and no audio.
I minimized Sage and watched the DVD just fine in PowerDVD. (cyberlink..I think). I also tried watching it in interactual player and the same high CPU usage... I've tried changing to default and to cyberlink and no help.. Any suggestions.. Gary Ellis |

Hi,
I had this issue, it turned out to be AC3 filter. I copied my version into the sage directory and it worked ok afterwards. Aditionally, what decoders do you have in your system ? May want to set Sage to use default, or if you have default set, switch it too be explicit. Cheers Mark

not sure what you mean by "copied AC3 filters into the sage directory"
My DVD player worked fine before I upgraded to the new video card. I bet that installing the card wrote over some drivers or something.. Gary Ellis |

Hi,
reinstalling the drivers is probably the best starting point. With regards AC3 Filter, I just dropped the ac3filter.ax file from my own installed version of AC3Filter, into the sage TV directory and overwrote the preexisting one. good luck. Cheers Mark
