Then if a mod wouldn't mind, could you move this post into a new thread in SageTV Software? I may have to try and create another account to see if that fixes the problem.
topic: Sage stopped playing imported media from network share (I read FAQs and searched) On my Sage box (6.1.8 with Java 1.6u1), I recently mapped a network share that contained all of my MP3 and music videos. I added it as an import directory in Sage, and all the files were immediately picked up on and found. The music played, and the files viewed fine. Until later, when I rebooted, when I could no longer play them. The share was mounted to a drive letter, and mounted as a particular user account "user" that exists on both computers. The SageTVService is set to start under user "user". But, still no go. I can see the files in Sage, and I can even browse through the directories, but as soon as I play a file I get an Error (-2): Files selected for playback are no longer on disk. I can view the details for each, and though some show up as 0MB, others show up fine: If I try to play videos, I get the error -2. If I try to play audio, nothing happens. No play "bar" appears at the bottom of the screen, but the song does end up in the "Now Playing" playlist. Any ideas?

Quote:
Switch back to non-service mode, change to a UNC path and map that drive letter to an empty directory so that the imported media is not seen in its old location & will then be imported from the 'new' UNC path. - Andy

Thank you, Andy. That resolved the issue. I must've overlooked that detail. Thank you for being patient with newbies such as I. I just wish I knew why I couldn't post new threads in that forum.
