Is it possible to log what codecs you system is using?
I am wondering if there is a piece of software that will log what codecs are being used for audio/video playback so I can go back and make sense of what is trying to do what? Does anyone know of such a thing? I know I can playback files in gspot or somethign similar but what about livetv? Thanks for any pointers. I am trying to streamline my codecs as somethign strange has happened with some recent codec installs I did.

There is a piece of software from MS, I have used it once a few years ago, unfortunately, can't remember the name, but you should be able to find in the MS download pages.
