Question Video Library and Divx files..

Hi all, I have several files in a directory, some are mpg and some are divx (avi extension). Only the mpg files are showing up in the listing under Library -> Video Library.

What do I need to do to make the divx files show up? Or are I out of luck with these files?

Thanks,
Eric

I play divx and xvid files all the time. Make sure the file extension is .avi. I don't remember having to do anything special to get them to show up.

Same here. All I had to do was install the divx codec on my client machine.

Files play fine, I do it all the time. Like mlbdude said, make sure the extension is AVI. Other extentions might work, I've never tried. All mine are .AVI.

avi import

In the sage properties file there is a line:

seeker/library_import_filename_extensions=

make sure avi is on that list

I figured it out, I changed the directory where Sage records to thinking I would just dump those into that same directory. For some reason that didn't work so I created a new directory for that and then added the first directory into the import section on the bottom of that settings page. They show up just fine now.

I do have one extra file that shows up in the list called 'video_ts' but its not in those two directories.

That extra file is left over from any DVD you had/have in your drive I believe.
