sage didn't record 24 tonight
for the first time ever I have a missed recording and I can't figure out why?
I have to shedules for 24, one that records off of my hdhomerun and one that records off of my hauppauge 550. I've gotten every episode this year off one or the other tuner (been trying to get both to record, but had no luck with that.) Tonight neither one recorded. They both show tonights airing as "past airing" but it's not shown as recorded for either tuner. Both show next weeks as a future recording. Sage is/was running and has been for a couple of days and was recording John Stewart when I sat down in front of my PC. This is a major bummer as I was expecting to watch this episode, but more importantly because now I don't know if I can trust Sage. Had just rebooted yesterday and all is working fine otherwise. Just looked at Sage log for the first time and it seems to be continously written to (things going into the log every few minutes at least and sometimes much more then that. I'm running 6.0.19 with stv 6.0.18 and java version 1.5.0_09. Any ideas? Thanks |

If you have a log, try searching it for "24" and see what it says. If some error occurred during recording, there should be a record of it in the log.

But be careful not to read any spoilers on the Fox.com website before seeing the episode. The last 2 weeks have been the best episodes of the season. Rellay a great show.

I was recording the series, getting ready for a "24 fest" with friends and beer, but my lodger decided to delete all the episodes for some unknown reason.
Fortunately I'd copied most off, except for 2-3pm. He's now my ex-lodger! |

I had an issue with 24 not being recorded. It happened two weeks in a row.
Up to that point I had the entire season saved, and it got to the point in the show where the time frame was starting to overlap, except for the AM/PM thing. So It was going to record the new episode 7:00PM-8:00PM and there was the old episode 7:00AM-8:00AM. And the new episodes weren't marked as first runs. I cleared out the old recordings and Sage started recording 24 again. Who knows what happened, but thats how I was able to fix the issue. |

No log error, I don't get it.
Of course there's a million instances of 24, but only a few of "24" and those all say something like Mon 4/16 23:09:10.054 UI Comp refreshing due to resource load finished of: MediaFile[id=6848967 A[6796577,6793224,"24",19571@0319.21:00,60] host=theduel and have to do with me looking at/for the episode after the recording time had passed. Man that log file is a mess. I guess I'll report this to support since it really makes no sense. thanks guys |
