Write bandwidth speed recommendations
What write bandwidth speeds are necessary to support one or two HD streams from a storage location to a sage server?

I'm confused. If you're streaming from storage to Sage, that would be reading, not writing.
But either way, figure around 6-8 GB/hour per HD stream. If you do the math, that works out to ~13-17 Mbit/sec. (1 GB/hour * 8000/3600 = 2.2 Mbit/sec.) So two streams would be twice that. What's your concern, network bandwidth or disk bandwidth? I wouldn't count on being able to do HD smoothly over wireless LAN, but 100Mbit wired LAN should be adequate for a couple of HD streams. And most disks these days have plenty of bandwidth for several HD streams.
