Feature Request "Whats new"

The good thing about Sage is that I never miss the shows i'm recording.

Bad thing about Sage is that I can fast forward through commercials and may miss new shows I want to record.

The feature request is simple. The Sage tool keeps a list of "shows" that have shown up in the EPG and only the show (not exact episodes). Everytime the EPG is downloaded it compares it to the list and see whether or not that show is "new".

The disadvantage of this is that the first few weeks could be a FLOOD of things to "accept". Therefore a global accept might be needed. I would also recommend against movies or at least a feature to not look for those.

I would think that in a period of a few weeks it might become bascially a trickle of "oh, new show...maybe i'll record". This type of feature could save the user numerous hours as well as allow to find things they may have missed.

There is a TV Show Editorials item in the Online Services menu you could check out.

Also, the hidden extras contain malore's Custom Menus, where you can view Series Premieres & Specials.

And, Intelligent Recording seems to like adding new series to the schedule... probably to see if you like them.
