Other remotes
Im fairly new to this and I dont think this is possible but I thought I would just check in case.
I have an hauggpage wireless (but wired) mvp setup and was wondering if its possible to pass any remote signal back to the server through it. Here is why: I have my server and virgin media box sat next to each other. Right now I have to go into the room to turn over the virgin box (Though I do have usbirt and girder so eventually when I have time sage I hope can change it for me). However there is a limit to what you can do with just changing channel and Id love to be able to just use my normal virgin remote control and point it at my mvp and the signal to be passed from the mvp to the server and then to the usbirt and then at the virgin box. ie. to use all the on demand features. I was just wondering if this is possible. Thanks |

No, SageTV doesn't pass a remote signal through like that.
SageTV can be used to send channel changes to your STB by using the USB-UIRT, though. When you change the channel, it will do so by sending the channel number signal through the USB-UIRT. SageTV can do this by directly using the USB-UIRT, so you don't need to use Girder just to change the channel. - Andy
