LiveTV recording question
I've seen a lot of posts regarding the deletion of live tv recordings automatically but I have a slightly different (newbie) question. Sorry if this has been addressed before but I couldn't find any posts on it.
If I'm watching an hour long show that starts at 7pm, it should be recording that show as I'm watching it (which it seems to be doing). Now if I want to switch channels at around 7:30 PM to watch another show (I have multiple tuners) how can I force the original show to continue recording until the end at 8pm? I'm assuming as soon as I change channels the initial show will stop recording and be classified as a "Partial recording" and be subsequently deleted at some point in the near future. If there is a way to force it to continue to record the original show to completion even after changing channels will that original show be a "temp" live tv recording that will be deleted shortly after it is completed? On my old hardware PVR (which is long gone) I could rewind to the beginning of the show, hit record and select "record this show" and then fast forward to the current time at which point I could tune to a different show (dual tuner pvr) and be assured my original show would continue to record (and save) at its completion. Thanks for you input..... Jeff |

So it will change it to a manual recording from the beginning, not just start a new manual recoding from that point? Sweet.
