Not finding audio files

Hi all,
everything's been quite stable for a long time with my setup (running Sage 6.1.4 with 2 full clients for HD), and I'm finally getting motivated to rip all my CDs to MP3 and get them on the server.

I'd done about 1/2 my CDs when I first started in Sage with no difficulty. However, now I'm finding that after ripping and encoding my stuff in the usual fashion and then putting it in the same file structure as all of the original MP3s, Sage isn't adding them to the Music menu.

On ocassion, I've managed to get it to find some of the files by repeatedly deleting and then reinstating the media import directories, but even then it's very inconsistent and doesn't find everything.

Surely there's a better way. Thanks in advance for any advice.

First, 6.1.4 was still a beta version. Have you tried using a release version?

After adding music files, did you make sure SageTV scanned the import libs again? You can restart SageTV or just select Setup -> Refresh Imported Media.

If you've done that, then enable debug logging to see if the log contains any errors about those music files.
