There was a Playback Error in playback.

Details:
sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-4,0x80040217): There was a problem rendering the video portion of the content for playback.

Video is coming to the card via S-Video input on a Hauppauge WinTV PVR 250 MCE. The card worked fine with MCE 2005.

Sage seemed to be working fine with this card on XP. Now, I'm using Windows 2000, and am getting this error.

Any ideas?

Since it's a playback error, it probably has nothing to do with your capture card. Most likely you don't have appropriate decoder software installed.

I might not have when I reinstalled Sage, but I've since reinstalled nVidia PureVideo Decoder, and it's definitely installed. Do I need to set up something in SageTV to make sure it's using the nVidia decoder?

I tried setting this up in the Multimedia->Video menu, and tried both of the nVidia decoders AND the SageTV decoder. All gave the same error.

Try restarting the computer. I've seen that fix most things with that error, when they were working before.
