Do you know if Sage changed channels properly using the network encoders? I did not realize you had been using MCE, I thought you had been using the network encoders.
I searched everywhere on my computer and the only .frq files are in the recycle bin. I never used the network encoders, I've been waiting for the BDA drivers to be supported to give Sage a try again.

That is exactly the problem I'm having.

I using QAM and the 20070716 software. Tuning is slow, about 30 seconds after the first channel, but it is working.

I am using QAM, 20070716 soft and firm ware and the BDA drivers. Tuning is fine. 1-3 seconds among all the channels. But I still have time frame issues, skips, ff/rw issues, tc. But not all the time on every recording. Usually after a first boot the recordings are fine. But eventually the issues show.

I just bought an HDHR. I'm on OTA. Cox Cable here doesn't provide all the local network HD channels in QAM.

How do I know whether I'm using the BDA driver or not?

go into the Source wizard summary.

If the source name starts with Silicondust then it is BDA. I believe the network encorders just start with HDHomeRun.
You can verify by selecting the source and looking at the Network Encoder line. If false it is BDA if true then you are using network encoding.

You can also use the HDHomeRun manager. If it shows not connected to Sage TV then you are BDA. If connected then it is a network encoder.

It looks like I'm using the BDA drivers. I just used the the two new sources that showed up automatically. Seems to work pretty well. I might get a better antenna or see if I can find a better location for this one. Some of the recordings I've made have a few errors that make Sage skip forward in the timeline a bit.

The BDA were supposed to correct the timeline issues. I have not seen any improvement. I believe the problems are worst now but I don't know if it is the beta release or the BDA drivers. I now have to VLC media player to view some of the recordings.
