HDHomeRUN 6.2.5

I read the notes and didn't see anything for the HDHomerun. Was there any improvements for BDA drivers?

I tried the 6.2.5 beta with the 7/20 HDHR drivers on a Vista OS and could not get reliable tuning. I reported this to Silicondust and got the following reply:
Hi,
We are working with SageTV to iron out a few issues when operating in QAM mode.
BTW - The next HDHR beta release uses the lineup.xml file directly from the Channel Editor rather than the remap file.
Nick
When I played back the shows that were recorded corrected with the BDA drivers I was impressed (none of the old problem were seen). I then went back to the 7/16 HDHR release and now have reliable tuning using the BDA drivers and have not seen any problems. I have only been running for about a day so far.

HDHR

I have been having good success with 6.2.5. The BDA drivers where not working well at all in 6.2.4. Playback would randomly stop. Timeline issues where still in the recordings. Sometimes the channel would not change and I would get a file permission error. So far with 6.2.5 I have seen none of these issues! Plus I have seen a good increase in channel switch speed. It used to take between 30-80 seconds to switch channels. It is down around 5-20 seconds now.

I haven't had the BDA drivers installed but I think 6.2.5 seems to work better when skipping through a show. So it seems like they fixed somthing. Maybe it has to do with this change.

17. Various DVB/Transport Stream bug fixes

It looks like the BDA drivers are working well for me as well. Hopefully they will also fix the timeline issues that I was having!

Same thing here. I tried BDA with 6.2.5 and the latest HDHR firmware but sometimes it would tune to the wrong channel.

If you have a copy of the 7/16 drivers, they will tune properly. I have not had any problems with the tuning since I reverted back to the previous version. I tried to attach the 7/16 drivers but they are too large (1,175 KB zipped) too attach here. You might have to request then from SiliconDust.

I'm using the 7/16 firmware and the 7/26 software on XP. I've switched back to non-BDA for now.

Out of curiousity, what are the advantages of using the BDA driver? I haven't had any issues with the network encoder.
