Recommendations for a dual analog tuner card?
I used to be a loyal Nvidia DualTV fan for dual analog tuners and now am not since Nvidia discontinued this card. I'm back on the market to purchase a new dual analog card and wonder what people recommend. I'm leaning towards the Vista View Saber 2020 card since it could use one of my PCIe slots and I hear the latest drivers have improved on many of the old bugs, etc.
Any recommendations?

I'd recommend against the PVR-500 as its picture quality is generally bellow the DualTV and Saber 2020. No need to take a step backwards.

I have been using the pvr-500 for over a year and I love it. I have no problem with PQ.

One plus for the PVR-500 is that it supports Closed Captioning in Sage, if that is important to you.

Just got a PVR 500 and so far it looking good to me.
And like what ke6guj said if closed captioning is important to you then pvr 500 is what I would go with. Bill |

I guess my concern is that the PVR-500 has been out forever but maybe since everyone likes it so much I can get that for much cheaper than the $150+ Saber 2020.

Hauppauge did have a bad period with the 500 (Samsung tuners). I had one Phillips board that was great, and a Samsung board that was terrible. I emailed Hauppauge support to see if I could RMA for another Phillips board. I was told they didn't deal with Phillips anymore, but to send the Samsung back and the replacement would be personally QA'd. Sure enough the quality was as good as the Phillips, so I think they have a handle on that. Hauppauge support is awesome IMO, the two times I needed them. I didn't like my nVIDIA card on XP, thought the 500 was better. On Vista I think the 500 is awesome (in combination with an 8600GT/Noise Reduction/Sharpness tweaks). The nVIDIA is going into an MCE box soon, so I'm sure it will be great with the MCE specific tweaks available.
