Question Quality of Video Card

I am currently in day seven of my Sage trial, and am totally in love with it. I am using Hauppage's pvr150 and a MediaMVP. I am watching tv through the mvp only. I am not using the pc for viewing. That being the case, does my video card on the pc play any role? I mean, would a fancy gpu on a video adapter do anything for Sage or the mvp?

Prior to last night, I was using an old 3dfx Voodoo card. After sticking in a card with a GeForce FX 5500 chip, things sure seemed to work a lot better on my tv. Does that make any sense? Or was my mind playing tricks on me?

The video card on the server should make no difference in terms of the use of an MVP.

If you were doing other things on your PC, it may stutter less if the programs are now taking advantage of the better video card and using less CPU %..... but aside from that, I'm guessing that it wouldn't.

SageTV is great and I've been using it since version 1... Wait until you hook up multiple tuners. I've got three in mine and never have a recording conflict. It's great.

All mine have on board video, (Intel GMA 950s) and no troubles even viewing on the server itself. No HD content though.
