Moving SageTV to a new PC
Hi,
I would like to move SageTV to a new PC. I don't care much about the recordings being properly recognized, but i do care about the settings. I will be using the same capture cards. My idea is to: 1. Backup SageTv directory from the old PC 2. Install Sagetv on the new PC 3. Copy the old backed up directory to the new sagetv directory (overwriting files) 4. Run it (without problems)  Is this the proper way?

I wouldn't move it that way. There is a long FAQ that includes moving to a new PC. If you don't want the existing recordings, don't copy them; just keep wiz.bin, but check the FAQ about possibly seeing non-existent recordings on the new PC.
I suggest that you do not just copy your existing properties file. You could try it, but I think you are better off starting with a fresh properties file on a new system. - Andy
