Bad Tuner Index + Mpeg4 Extended play not supported - How can I clear these up?

I'm having a couple of problems that I've found in the server.properties file
(Running 6.25 beta in service mode)

First one is a "Bad Tuner Index"

The second one seems pretty self-explanatory. Your capture hardware can't record in that format. Choose a different format to make the message go away.

Thanks, I figured since NVidia DualTVMCE was on the Sage hardware compatibility list it should record in that format.

I've made progress with the first issue (exporting registry keys is your friend).

I've narrowed it down to the CSLID of the Nvidia cards.

The key that causes the problem is:

Why didn't you just do a fresh install of Sage on your fresh install of Vista and copy in your saved wiz.bin? It's just a little work to configure and you won't have these issues.

Well, because I've struggled getting Sage working as well as it does to be honest with you. I'm disappointed how even the latest RC works out of the box for HD content - that Sage MPEG-2 Splitter / decoder is terrible. Besides, I've tried removing the registry settings and resintalling a virgin 6.26 and I'm still getting the errors.
I've learned right off the bat I should get very acquainted with fixing Sage when it breaks or isn't working how it should be. Hell just getting Vista to load properly with a Nvidia Nforce Raid1 mirror was challenging enough, then turning off UAC, Aero, and getting as close to XP (with DirectX 10) as I could took a while.

I think once a new final Sage version is released I'll do what you said. There's other problems that are outside of Sage that exist, like getting simultaneous analog + digital output in Vista (I may have to buy a hardware DAC to get this done) and getting the underscan problem fixed for 1280x720 with the Vista Xforce Nvidia drivers.

Seems like every day there's a new beta Nvidia driver that touts new HD support / performance or a new beta version of Sage 6.X. I'm glad people are working hard getting this stuff to work. What is so appalling is my 3 year old Scientific Atlanta 8300HD that smoothly records two 1080i channels simultaneously and outputs Dolby Digital + analog at the same time.
