XMLTV why do I need it?

Hi,

I am a little confused as to why I may need to install the XLMTV plug-in ? I currently select Dish Network (New York) from the Sage EPG setup page. I am having problems with certain stations not showing in up in my EPG program guide (Even though they do show up in the setup screen and are selected?)

Any clarification is appreciated.

Regards,

Jim

You don't need XMLTV if you're in the US. XMLTV is there for people who aren't in the Sage coverage area.

Now channels, not coming up is a different issue. I remember seeing a thread about that a few days ago though, so you might want to try doing as search.

If you've gone through the setup wizard a few times, it is possible that somehow it has changed mappings. I can't remember where, but somewhere in setup there is the abiliity to map, say, Channel 13 onto a different channel number. The setup wizard, in its wisdom, seemed to do this on my behalf when I gave it two different sources with overlaps. If you can find the place where you can set these mappings, you may be halfway out of the water.

If my HTPC weren't dead as a doornail (power supply failure) I'd be more helpful. Good luck.

I can't get to my HTPC right now, however, I believe what you're looking for is under setup > channel setup. There you can either right click or menu key then remap channel.

While we're in a forum named for XMLTV, has anyone ever figured out how to remap channels for XMLTV?
