HDHR Tuning problems in 6.2.10

I upgraded from 6.1.9 to 6.2.10 and HDHR firmware 9/14. I followed the directions, and I am able to view all the remapped channels.

The problem is that when I try to tune an analog channel sometimes it will tune to the remapped HDHR channel of the same physical number. For example if I remapped 101 WTHRSCN to the physical channel # 39-84-7, when I tune change the channel to 101 I will tune the WTHSCN, but if I change the channel to 39 I will either see analog 39 comedy central or 101 wthscn depending on the priority of the analog tuners vs the HDHR. Channel 39 is not enabled for the HDHR channel lineup.

Anyone else experiencing this?

The lineup for the HDHR should only have the channels you want for HD or digital. You need to have a slightly different lineup for you SD or analog channels.

I have the channel lineups set up correctly:

analog tuners ---> extended basic analog service (only the channels I receive enabled)
digital tuners ---> extended basic digital service (only the remapped channels have been enabled)

example
analog service channels that are enable:
2 wsav
3 tvgn
4 wjcl

digital service channels enable and remapped:
101 wthscn remapped: [2-80-1]
103 cspan2 remapped: [3-80-2]
404 espn2hd remapped: [4-80-3]

If I use the remote and dial 101, 103, or 404 the correct digital channel is displayed, but if I dial 2 sometimes 101 wthscn is display instead of 2 wsav.
This ussually happens if all the analog tuners are tied up, but sometimes Sage decides to use the HDHR even if analog tuners are available despite the actual guide channel not being enable for that tuner!

It looks like you're running the HDHR BDA drivers.

As an experiment, try using only the first x number of the x-x-x on your remap (use 2 instead of 2-80-1). Some users are experiencing tuning issues with the BDA drivers and this seems to be the quick work-around for now.

gplasky was correct. I went back and checked the channel lineups for each tuner, and one of the HDHR's tuners was set to the analog lineup. After changing it to the digital lineup all is well.

Thanks.
