TVTV woes in UK with PVR-150 + Sky

I have traced all of the problems setting up sagetv to tvtv
Everything works fine if I don't use tvtv (ie if I say no tuner then set channel remap a couple of the composite channels to numbered channels, it operates the IRBlaster fine to change the channel on the sky box), however, once I enable tvtv, everything goes screwy.

If I enable tvtv, it downloads the channels, then I can go through and highlight the channels I want - no problem. It does not know what channel on my sky box these are though. If I click remap and tell it the channel number of a channel, then click view, it will preview it, but when I go to "watch live TV", sometimes the screen is just black with an empty box at the top - the bottom play controls do not appear. I seem to have this sort of working now, so this isn't my main concern.

Is tvtv meant to tell sagetv which channel is which on my sky box? (eg 106 for sky one), or do I need another app to map channel numbers to channels so that my IRBlaster works? Or do I need to do it manually? Help please!

No, thats what remapping in sage is meant to do.

Remap the TVTV IDs to a physical channel number in sage, and setup the capture device so that it tunes to external satellite/cable box on one of its inputs.

I started trying XMLTV - I got the LM Gestion XMLTV importer - same deal - imports but doesn't set the channel numbers in the lineup - I am having to go through 1000 channels and set their numbers manually. Is there a quicker way?
