Directv parental controls help
Hi all. I don't think this is possible, but thought I would ask. We currently use Sagetv mainly as a recorder but prefer to watch live tv direct from our dish. Some WAF involved there and the picture is better...
Anyway, because of this, and kids in the house, we have to have the parental controls enabled on the directv receiver. This messes things up such as recording R movies or some regular programming with a Mature rating, such as stuff on FX. Anyway, I use the serial cable from my sage to the directv box to change the channels and that works flawlessly, but if I want to record this stuff I have to unlock the dish and remember to lock it again (big problem). Anyway, thought some guru might have some insight. Thanks.
