Can SageTV Linux use same plugins as SageTV XP Windows?

Right now I got SageTV running on XP Windows but wonder if SageTV linux could use the same plugins as the Windows version?

Plugins like SageMC or Closed Captioned addon etc or direct to DVD burner etc.

Yes & No... each type of client can use the same STVs & so on, but whether a particular customization uses anything specific to one OS depends on the customization. You mentioned a few customizations, but if there are others, then you should mention each one you are asking about, or check in the customization's topic.

Rule of thumb:

If a customisation is an STVI only, it will probably(*) work fine on linux

If a customisation is an STVI + JAR, it will also probably(*) work fine on linux

If a customisation uses external DLLs or EXEs, then it won't run on linux unless the developer has linux equivalents.

(*) unless it has to run Windows programs, or call to windows DLLs then not. This is fairly rare...

All of my plugins should run on linux, except for the cpu/mb monitor which uses windows DLLs and system calls.

EvilPenguin's dvd burner uses windows exe's built from perl scripts, so may be able to run on Linux after some modifications. However, Linux should have native dvd burning support.
