Burning .TS/.MPG to DVD?

I'm having a hard time finding a program that reads my HDHomeRun Sage captures correctly, let alone one that will downconvert some episodes to DVD format. Because it's a transport stream in a .MPG header (I think), most of the freeware apps don't seem to recognize it. They also prefer AVI, WMP or some other format to start with.

Does anyone else have a good, easy method for converting HDTV captures to DVD format? If it uses a decent MPEG2 converter and not FFMPEG, that would be a plus.

Thanks, Robert

mencoder's TS support has gotten much better as of late.

Also, if you reconfigure your HDhomerun to use the BDA drivers instead being a network tuner then Sage will convert your HDhomerun transport streams to program streams on the fly while its recording. It makes life much easier

I'll give those a shot. I forgot all about HDTV2MPEG. I remember playing with that years ago.

SVCD2DVD crashed when I tried to use the files captured from Sage. Most of these programs would be available to me, like FAVC, SVCD2DVD, AVI2DVD, etc. if the files captured were just in some compatible format, but they aren't.

I switched over from network encoder to BDA per evilpenguin's recommendation. I'll see if that helps.

I use svcd2dvd for all of my .ts to DVD writing. I capture from HDHR and R5000 and all are processed through videoredo. I have never had any problems in using svcd2dvd on any of these files.

Now that I switched to BDA drivers, the Sage output is directly importable into SVCD2DVD.

Thanks for everyone's help.
