webserver and itunes

using sage 5.0.4 or 6.2.10 and webserver 2.20, when i add an rss feed to itunes, it simply lists "Sage Search Results" without any of the recordings.
the recordings are ".avi" files.
when the rss link is checked in internet explorer 7 or firefox, it works find, but it does not work in internet explorer 6.

help appreciated,
