Media Center Import Questions

Hi Everyone,

I have a question. I have one files server right now that all my movies are on. I have a second one coming on line shortly because the first 1 is almost full.

When mapping my import directories in sage. Is there a way I can make two mappings appear under the folder in sage?

For example, I currently have a folder called movies. It is mapped to \\FileServer\Movies. Now, if I make a second file server, and have a second movies folder say \\FilsServer2\Movies. Is there a way I can ensure that under media center it only shows one movies folder but has the content form both file servers?

Does that make sense?

OK, what I do is on each drive that I want to have imported files, I create a folder; sharedD, sharedE, etc. I then share the folder as its name, so I get \\fileserver\sharedD and \\fileserver\sharedE and input that into Sage as my import folders.

Now that that is done, I create sub-folders in my sharedX folders, such as Movies, Cartoons, Music Video, etc. (with the naming being hte same across all sharedX folders) and store my content in the proper folders. I don't store any content in the root sharedX folder, only in the sub-folders. With that, when I go to look at my imported stuff, I get a main menu with the sub-folder names and all content is in them.

so my structure looks like:
\\fileserver\sharedD\Movies\
\\fileserver\sharedD\Cartoons\
\\fileserver\sharedD\Videos\
\\fileserver\sharedD\Documentaries\
\\fileserver\sharedE\Movies\
\\fileserver\sharedE\Cartoons\
\\fileserver\sharedE\Videos\
\\fileserver\sharedE\Documentaries\

I can put a movie in the Movies folder in sharedD or sharedE, and it will show up in my Movie folder in Sage.

SO, for you, I'd put all you movie content one level below your existing shared folders if you only want 1 Movies folder. Once you do that, you may need to set "FOlder Display Style" as combined in the options menu.
