Show Analyzer and AVI files

Hey guys,

I recently got show analyzer / SageMC to work and I am loving it. It works well with Sage native mpg files. However, it will not process avi files generated by handbrake and the Video tools utilities. The show analyzer logs indicate the following:

"This log created by ShowAnalyzer v0.9.0
17:18:24(0) Unidentified container. The first 4 bytes: 0x0 0x0 0x0 0x0 "

Can you not process avi's with Show Analyzer?

James

Nope, show analyzer (and comskip) will only process mpgs. In other words you need to make sure you process them before you compress them.

edit: much cleaner

Per the dragonglobal homepage, Works with MPEG, TS, and DVR-MS recordings.

DO your commercial scanning/cutting before you run any conversions on the files.

edit: too sloooowwww

A good way to ensure that commercial detecting gets run first is to just run it live while the show is recording. That way the comskip file is finished almost immedialy when the show is finished.

Oh, and also, don't forget to add "avi" to the list of extentions to look for when cleaning up files in the last tab in Dirmon2, otherwise the comskip files will deleted when the mpg gets replaced.
