Two servers and multiple clients?
Has anyone ever tinkered with storing multiple TV Tuner streams from multiple computers/SageTV servers onto a central storage place?
I am just wondering about this because my dad wants to setup his own server because I will be moving away soon and right now he just uses my SageTV install and a Client. I was just wondering if it is possible... I mean could the servers talk to eachother and tell one that it is already recording Reno911 or something? Is there anything that would prevent one from flat out trying to write the same file?

If the computers are on the same network, you can set up a network tuner (look up network encoder) where the server can be on one computer and the tuner can be on a different computer. Otherwise, as far as I know, SageTV servers can't really talk to each other.
