New HD Media Extender vs. MediaMVP for SD
I primarily use my MediaMVP to watch SD recordings and it generally works OK. Every so often it doesn't respond to any input from the remote and then all of sudden responds to all of the input all at once (as if it were queued). It also occasionally boots me out to the main menu when watching a program.
Does anyone know if the new HD Media Extender fixes these issues? Has anyone had any interface or response issues? I'm hoping the extender fixes these issues given it's been natively built by Sage, etc. I just want to make sure it truly fixes the issues before I buy the $200 extender.

Are you using the Vista OS?
If the problems you are seeing are Vista caused with the MVP, then the problems have not been seen with the new HD extender.

Yes I'm using Vista. Are there known issues with using Vista and the MediaMVP?

see http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=25143 and http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=26465 about the problems, which should be fixed by SP1.
See http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=28699 about the HD extender not showing any problems.
