SageTV 4 Keeps Adding Unwanted Channels
I have the "smart" programming feature, or whatever it is turned off. But I keep seeing channels show up in my Program Guide that I have not selected. How do I keep SageTV 4 from putting me through the frustration of constantly having to remove these unwanted channels?
Otherwise I've had very little trouble with SageTV 4. Carl

IF these are new channels that have been added to the lineup by the provider (cable or satellite) or are new OTA channels, then you can't prevent Sage from adding them. The only thing you can do is disable them when you see that there is a new channel.
Many people have complained about "new channels being auto-enabled". Put in a feature request to let Sage know of your frustration and maybe if they hear it enough, they may make changes to the way that new channels are treated.
