Can SageRecorder Record Better Than WinTV2000?

Since my trial has somehow expired before 14 days, I have the following question for fellow users:

Does SageRecorder properly fix MPEG2 errors like those experienced when WinTV2000 is used? When I use the Nanofix and pvastrumento applications on MPEG2 files produced by WinTV2000, they report all sorts of audio sync problems, even though they play fine in Windows Media Player. When demuxing and remuxing these MPEG2 files, I always experience audio sync problems.

Does SageRecorder fix these problems? These errors make it hard for me to edit these WinTV2000 MPEG2 files, especially when dealing with the audio stream.

Forgot to mention...

I'm dealing with the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR USB2, and WinTV2000 is the stock Hauppauge recording application.

I also have the USB2 and find that the capture rates listed with WinTV are not even close. I.e. the DVD Extra long setting says it makes a 1.2gb file for each hour. Every time I capture 2'45" of video, it results in a 4+ file. Anyone else experiencing this? I am hoping SageTV has much more accurate capture rates...-Santos
